A Local obituary was reported for Arthur Murphy, 71, of Attleboro.

Arthur Murphy, 71, owned auto parts store

ATTLEBORO -- Arthur H. Murphy, 71, of 531 Paine Road, died Friday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of Carolyn L. (Schofield) Murphy.

Born Oct. 13, 1929 in Providence, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Winifred (Conley) Murphy. He was raised in Providence and lived in Johnston for 36 years, moving to Attleboro in 1999.

Mr. Murphy owned Bill's Auto Parts on Macondray Street in Cumberland, R.I., for the past 14 years. He previously worked for Builders Specialties for 25 years.

He was a member of Four Corners Community Chapel, Cumberland.

Mr. Murphy was a graduate of Hope High School and the former Wentworth Institute of Technology.

He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Mr. Murphy was a ham radio operator for over 25 years under the call sign `` N1CNX.''

Besides his wife, Mr. Murphy is survived by a daughter, Lynn D'Adamo of North Attleboro, and two grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Four Corners Community Chapel, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland.
