On the first general page press  " create backup " first and when you are done if you get in trouble press " restore backup " to return to the previous configuration. Try  " selective startup " on general page, removing checkmarks in process autoexec.bat and config.sys. In most cases overall stability will improve and DOS games will run better.   Whether upgrading or doing a clean install, the Startup page is more than important. Here you can try disabling  startups of many hidden unnecessary programs and programs slowing your computer down with easy undo steps if you wish by removing or adding check marks.            Microsoft uses this program for telephone support with customers.
