George, W1GAC Paul, W1ECO Charlie, W1EIZ and many younger types may be found every day of the week on 3945 KHz. " The Old Buzzard's Net " at 10 AM every morning on Ancient Modulation. Say Hello on AM ! I just had the privilege of meeting George for the first time this Sunday, March 26th 2001 where he lives within a mile of the Framingham Flea market. I had heard George on 75 many times in the early 50's and he was one of my first QSO's on 75 Phone in 1957 after getting my General Class Ticket. It was more than exciting to finally meet the person I have QSOed thousands of times for 44 years who is still daily, using the same excellent homebrew gear he constructed in the 40's and 50's. Stepping into his yard, was like stepping into a 1950's time machine. He , his house and ham gear are all surrounded by a very boring new modern era with its modern lack of home brewing pride and values.
