THE TOP BAND SSB NET

PURPOSE

NET INFO

The Top band SSB net meets each Wednesday evening at 2030 hours (8:30 PM EST/EDT) Eastern time year around. The net frequency is nominally 1945 KHz. At times that frequency is occupied so look for us at + or - 5 KHz.

NET PROCEDURE

The net is mainly serves the 1,2,3 amateur call letter areas. Each area has a net control and the order of check ins is rotated on a weekly basis. Net control operators are:

(1's) NO1H,    Frank,    Richmond, Maine

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Seymour, W2JBI on June 3rd, 2001.  Click  <<<here>>>  and    <<<here>>>   for W2JBI pictures History page.

Check ins from ALL other call letter areas are always welcome. We often have 4 and 8 area check in's.

The summer months can make contacts rough on 160. The combination of increased absorption and QRN take their toll. In addition local Thunderstorms often preclude stations from the net. So crank up your amplifier and join us! Someone is always there.
