SEYMOUR KREVSKY, W2JBI, SK
Seymour Krevsky was very active in amateur radio and electronic communication all his life. Seymour was Director of Engineering at Fort Monmouth, Communications Systems Agency. He was responsible for developing hi-tech communications systems in the U.S. and worldwide. W2NVR, who had the pleasure of working with Seymour said," He was extremely well liked by military commands and governments all over the planet." Seymour's engineering talents allowed him to tackle many hard problems and solve them many times with very ingenious fixes. Seymour was also active in the I.E.E.E., attending and speaking at many of the organizational meetings. Seymour had a great love for amateur radio enjoying both AM and SSB, using vintage gear and modern equipment. His radio shack was crammed with everything from 4-1000 amps to a vintage Ranger or two. He enjoyed building, repairing and modifying radio gear. His signal from his Globe King 500 was a mainstay every Tuesday evening on the Gray Hair Net. He was a faithful member of the net since 1974, and president from January 1991 until April of 2001. Seymour passed away on June 3rd, 2001 and will be missed by all. written by Bill, W1CKI < See Below > |
